Steamed beech plate fingerjointed is distinguished by its irregular wood texture. The random arrangement of stripes in the plate results in an interesting aesthetic experience.

The uniform pinky-red colour is specific to steamed beech plate. Wood that is steamed in hot clear water becomes less sensitive to humidity changes.
